With the sunrise, the "Takbir" prayers were heard from all the speakers of the mosques. Muslims of all ages flocked to the mosques for the Eid prayers, filling the Haci Kasim Altunkaya Mosque in the center.

Mufti Ergun Bulunmaz of Midyat emphasized the importance of Hajj, sacrifice, and the Eid in his pre-prayer sermon, stating that the holidays are an opportunity for solidarity and reconciliation.

In the Eid sermon, messages were given about reconciling with those we are upset with and sacrificing animals.

After the Eid prayer and sermon, Muslims greeted each other and celebrated the holiday.

Speaking to ILKHA reporter after the prayer, citizens and children expressed their excitement for the holiday.

Ahmet Alpsoy, who came to the Eid prayer with his child, said, "Today is Eid al-Adha. May the holiday be blessed for all Muslims. I hope that the sacrifices made will be accepted by Allah. Holidays are symbols of Islam. We try to live our holidays in the best way possible. They are very special days for us. We strive to live this beautiful gift from Allah. InshaAllah, we will also sacrifice an animal."

Selman Gökçe, who emphasized the importance of not forgetting the earthquake victims, said, "Alhamdulillah, we have reached the holiday. We are happy. We congratulate everyone on their holiday. We should not see the holiday only as a vacation. We should pay attention to maintaining family ties and not forget them. Let's reconcile with those we are upset with. We also celebrate the holidays of our brothers and sisters in the earthquake region."

Abdulmecit Sevimli, a member of the mosque congregation, said, "Today we welcomed Eid al-Adha at the Haci Kasim Altunkaya Mosque in Midyat. We are joyful. We congratulate all Muslims on their holiday. May the pilgrimage of those who went to Hajj be accepted. May Allah not deprive us of their prayers. Today we are celebrating the holiday, but there are Muslims suffering oppression all over the world. We must not forget them. We are saddened by their situation. They cannot celebrate the holiday in places like Palestine. The holiday is about peace and brotherhood. We must not forget our brothers who drown at sea. May Allah grant the Ummah unity based on the Quran and Sunnah and awaken us from ignorance."

Mustafa Ekinci, one of the children who came to the mosque, said, "Today is the holiday. We always come to pray. Then we go out and have fun. I am very happy. We are very excited. I used to put my clothes next to my pillow before going to sleep."
